Sri Lanka is one of the leading countries for mobile phone users in Asia. It is the first Southeast Asian country to introduce 3G mobile phone service to its customers. Mean while Sri Lanka Telecommunications Regulatory Commission is expected to announce by March 2011 that no one can have 5 SIM cards from any of the mobile phone service provider. There are 5 service providers and any person will be allowed only to have five SIM from each of the five operators totaling 25.
