How to send SMS text messages from your Gmail account?
Go to your Gmail and log in using your username and password.
Go to the "Settings".
Go the "LAB".
Scroll down and find "Text Messaging (SMS) in Chat" .
Select it and Enable it as "SMS in Chat gadget" and save.
Now you are ready to send SMS text messages to Sri Lanka and any part of the world.
In the send SMS box enter the mobile phone number of the person that you want to send SMS message.
Enter the contact name.
Check the mobile phone number and the country are correct.
Type the SMS text message in the Chat box and press "enter' to send the message.
If the party replies for your SMS it will appear in your chat box.
Sending and receiving a message from Gmail to any mobile phone or CDMA is free.
When replying with an SMS from phone to Gmail, you will be charged a regular SMS rate by your mobile provider.
