Sending SMS, MMS, dial and receive incoming calls through Airtel mobile service is becoming more popular here in Sri Lanka. Airtel has launched its service here under the company name of Bharti Airtel Lanka (Private) Limited on January 12th 2009 as the 5th mobile phone service provider here.

Already their stores located island wide are issuing number selection and booking form to people who want to reserve their desired numbers along with their 0757. According to the instructions people can request 5 desired numbers.

  • International Rs.5.00/messages

They are offering free alert services too. To get over 30 text alerts services free for 15 days simply dial: 99999 (Toll free) from your Airtel mobile.
Take note this is access FREE and after Free trial Rs.1 + tax per day.

According to their instructions, if you loose your SIM card, you may report it by making a personal visit to any of their office or Exclusive outlets or Brand shop's and receive a replacement connection card.

Also here they are offering Smartphones at affordable price to their customers. These Smartphones are locked with the carrier and will not work with other carriers like Dialog, Mobitel, Etisalat or Hutch.

This carrier offers post paid and pre-paid phone service which can include roaming, SMS, MMS, data plan and so on.
